Default another Vararam thread. :)

ok so i ordered a vararam today.. hope its worth the $398 shipped vs $4.33 i spent doing the zip tie mod. lol

do ya'll think it will gain anything on the dyno over the zip tie? hopefully its worth the time its gonna take to install.. wish me luck!

btw current mods are:
zip tie
cartek 1 7/8th headers
g5x3 114 lsa
custom x-pipe w/ dual cutouts
403rwhp/367torq

i'm scheduled for a dyno tune saturday at LG motorsports so i'll post up the results then!

You will not notice much of anything on the dyno. You will notice a BIG difference at the track. Congrats on a most excellent mod.

My guess would be somewhere around 11.50s if you are running gears/slicks. Maybe high 11s.

I went from a zip tie to the vararam and i felt the difference. Im sure you will more since you have a cam and more mods that would hold your stock intake back some.

Are you skinny? I don't know how you could feel the difference. Must be the dreaded placebo effect I've seen posted.

You will proably have a tougher time noticing the gains on a car as modded as yours, compared to an almost stock car. You will, however, see some good gains since your car's intake and exhaust is efficent with the exception of the air filter system.(read; the intake is your bottle neck)
Don't worry about the install, it is a piece of cake. It takes a little time because there is a lot to take off, but cajundudes instructions are very detailed.
It will be far superior to the zip tie mod, but you did pay a little extra. I got mine for $325 shipped as well

Default Vararam

Just last week end I put vararam on my 04. Also put kooks headers, and B&B Bullett exhaust with x-pipe. The guy that installed it said dont look to see any difference with the vararam until you reach speed of over 60 mph. Car runs and sounds great.

I am not skinny. But i think everyone can feel the difference from a zip tie mod to a vararam. The vararam is made of hard plastic and the zip tie mod uses a few zip ties, i think everyone can feel the difference in materials.
