Fuel tank removal???

Has anyone totally removed their fuel tank to swap pumps? I've done a few swaps with the tank hanging and wanted to know what holds the tank up when the bottom shield is removed. i've tried pulling it down but was afraid I'd break something. Anyone know?

If your car was made prior to Nov '02 your fuel pump is on the drivers side and you can access it through the wheelwell, no need to pull the tank. The '03s had a midrun change to the FFS fuel system located on the pass side. I have the instructions of the pre-FFS pump install that Magnuson supplied with my kit...unfortunately, I have a FFS system. Learned the hard way. PM me your address if you'd like a copy.
