I just installed long tube high flow cats and TI catbacks. No tune.
It idles smothly . I took it out for a few spin and I noticed some hesitation like mis firing as i step on it also when I give it just a bit of gas, but once in full WOT it runs fine.
From the threads I have read it appears the the computre must adjust to the new air flow. I did verify that the plug wire are well connected. Ialso have a stinger air intake.
Will driving X # of miles solve this problem as the computer adjusts itself or is there something else i should do.
PS no code came up.
Bet you burned up the #7 plug wire. This is a problem with long tube headers. Get some high temp wires and sleeves. Taylor Thundervolts and Koolsox sleeves have worked for me. Be sure to sleeve the #7 wire. It always seems to go first. Good luck.
