heads/cam question
I have a 99 coupe M6 and am looking to add some good power with heads/cam.
I don't really know much about heads and cams so my question is what specific cams and heads do I look for?
I want an aggresive streetable cam. I have intake and exhaust now but plan on adding an ls6 intake manifold/throttlebody, and LT headers.

There are a ton of choices. You need to be more specific on what you want. You need to decide how radical you want to go. I plan on doing either MTI Stage 2s and a R1 cam or AFR 205s and a X3 cam. I'm pretty sure both make about the same power. The MTI setup will cost less though.

Cartek Racing (
www.cartek.net ) in NJ has had much success with their track and street proven heads and cam packages...give them a call.

As mentioned, I do not know much about heads/cams. I will be road racing. I do want an aggresive cam and want good power gains.
I don't mind the car rocking a bit.

As
cajundude already mentioned there's a TON of choices. What i would do first if find a tuner(s) that's close to home. Then go to thier website (located on left sidebar) and see what they offer....then do a search here on the forum to see user reviews regarding that setup.

You can get at, or near 400rwhp and still retain stock heads. Click on my Mods in SIG below.

I have 405RWHP with stock 2001 C5 Heads.
Although, I do have the 04 Z06 Stabilizer Kit installed.
