I have a 2004 heavily modified corvette coupe with 400 rear wheel hp.
I currently have a 3:42 rear end. Best ET is 12.005. I am considering
installing a 3:73. Does anyone have any experience with this? What would my RPM's be if I were driving at 70 MPH? Any comments or suggestions appreciated. My goal is 11.7 to 11.8. Thanks
I think you need to worroy about traction more than changing your gear ratio. For an A4 with 400rwhp, you should EASILY be in the 11's, if not 10's.
As for the 3.73's, they're the way to go for a street/strip A4.

Face is right you should already be in the 11s. One of my buddy's has run 11.55 @ 117 with just 370 RWHP (bolt on's cam only) he has an ST3500 & 3.42 gears in his A4. What stall & tires are you running?
I have 3.73s in my A4 and I am at 2350 RPM at 70 MPH.
