Default DIC codes: Two days in a row? Any ideas?

Got the codes yesterday on the way home. Cleared em, then got the same two codes at what looks to be almost the same exact time and place today on the way home, again:

P1416 AIR System Bank 2 (on DIC: PCM p1416 HC)
U1160 Loss of Communications with LDCM (on DIC: IPC U1160 H)

I think the first one is an O2 sensor or bad air reading? I have no clue what the second one is.

Can a get a lil' help?

2002 Z06.

Some others will chime in on the 1416 code, but as far as the loss of comm. codes. This seems to happen to alot of folks when the DIC throws any codes. It also throws one or several loss of comm. codes.

I wouldn't worry about the left door control module code, especially as it is listed as a "H" or history and non-current code.

Sorry I can't help with the other one.

Thx!

I'll sit back quietly and wait for the "others" to respond.

Dammit I got the CHECK ENGINE light and the codes were:

10 pcm:
p0171 H
p0174 H

60 IPC:

u1160 H

I know the p0171 and p0174 are caused by the halltech intake but not sure why the CHECK engine light came on?

what is the deal with the u1160?

Anything I need to be worried?

Would a LOSS of COMM cause the ENGINE light to come on and what do i do to make the check engine light go away?

The Loss of Comm will NOT cause the check engine light to come on. As for turning the CEL off, after a few ignition cycles, read that as not turns of the key, but heat up and cool downs, if there are no current codes the light will go out.

I have the same code P1416 HC that came on about 10 minutes after driving. Checked the DIC and it also says the AIR system Bank2.

So, is it the oxygen sensor?
I see no hose(s) disconncted per service manual, etc.

Here is some more info:

It sounds like the AIR check valve on the right side. Unfortunately, it requires the removal of the intake manifold!

I saw an earlier thread on this forum that had pictures of how to do this without removing the manifold so I emailed the originator of the pictures to see if I could get a copy. If I do, I'll repost them.

Hey guys - I just realized my GMPP extended warranty has a ZERO deductible (thought I got the $250). I'm taking this baby in to the dealer and let them scrape up their fingers instead of mine!

Just to let you know that I replaced the right side AIR check valve this AM.
Had to remove the intake manifold however. Problem was with the wiring harness for the fuel injectors positioned between the AIR system and the engine and next to the "bolt". No way to get at it from the drivers or passenger side with the harness in the way. Removing the manifold allowed me to get it from the top barely enough to loosen the bold. After that disconnected both sides of the AIR system and got the check valve to the top where I could use a couple of wrenches to take it off and replace. Placed the AIR piping, and valve back into a position with the injector harness on the outside of the AIR system. Now I can see the bracket and get to the bolt from the drivers side with some luck.
Whew, what a job for this valve!

And the valve replacement did solve the problem...no more codes. It was rusted inside from a visual check.
