I just bought a Hypertech off of Ebay. I want to install either a 160 or 180 thermostat. I live in NJ and use car in the winter. Will I have any issues if I use the 160 thermostat. I have a 2003 A4 with a Blackwing and Corsa Indy exhaust.

Thanks

I tried the 160 but it ran too cold in the winter, temp never got over 180. I switched too the 180 and found the car to run a little better over the 160 in the winter. It runs around 190. P.S. I live in NY,cold winters.

I have the 180 and live in Texas where its hot. 194 is what it runs in the hot months. I would not go to a 160 thermo in New Jersey.

I live in south Florida and when I had the Hypertech on my 98 T/A I had a 160 degree thermostat. For living up north the stock one is just right with the cold winters.
