I have a lug bolt on an 04 that is messed up. It is NOT the lug nut, as I have tried others on this lug bolt. How big of a deal is it gonna be to fix this? How dangerous to run on 4 good lugs?
I replaced one on the front hub. It's not difficult. Remove
wheel. Remove brake caliper and bracket from knuckle.
Remove rotor. Tap out old stud with hammer. Pull new
stud thru with a stack of washers and a lug nut.
Note: 2 large bolts that hold caliper bracket to knuckle need
to be torqued to 125 ft.lbs and require thread locker.

Except I was able to pound the new one back in with a hammer instead of pulling it through. Note also that the GM service manual calls for replacing the caliper bracket bolts.
