I installed the Z06 front and rear sway bar on my '03, and there is a little notch cut out on my lower A arms, the front swaybar is very close to the notch on both sides i.e. close to hitting the A arm. Is this normal? I want to lower it but am afraid the bar will hit the A arm. Also, if you have the selective ride and have lowered your car, how far did you lower it? Thanks
It will not hit if you have it on correctly. I know it looks like very little clearance but it will be fine. I had the same issue, maybe 8mm (guessing a little less than a full cm). It's enough. The bar will rotate upward when you lower the car.
Can't answer the 2nd question. I now have all Z06 components and bilsteins and got about 3/4 inch on stock bolts with trimmed bushings.
I installed Hotchkis bars on my 04 C5..no clearance issues and lowered fully on stock bolts. I have F55 (Magnetic Ride Select) with no problems or issues. Take 'er down
I got mine front and rear bars on Z06Vette.com from a Z06 guy that had upgraded to T1 bars for $50 plus shipping. Came with metal endlinks and bushings.
if you are a hard core road racer, yes the T1's are better. If you just want a big improvement for the street and autoxing then the Z06 bars are a good choice
