Since Patches answered your question, I won't. But this is why I like the factory shift ****. I installed tri air horns and ran the wire to the solenoid up through my Hurst shift lever into the stock shift ****. You push down on the shifter diagram to blow the air horns. I left the factory horns alone as a back up. I found that you can't be shifting through the gears and reach the stock horn with the steering hand. As you know, at least on my 99, you have to hit the center area of the steering wheel to blow the horn. I've had cars pull out in front of me in the line that I'm trying to get around. To bad I can't post my pictures of the switch I made and the horn placement inside of the radiator duct.
I'll take a Hurst **** over the factory one any day of the week. The factory **** just doesn't fit my hand very well. I'm going to use the button on the Hurst T-Handle for my line lock.

Mark are you runing an A4? Is the button a lock out for the A4? Sounds like a handy place for the line lock switch.
