Default how much hp with these mods?

hey guys,

just wondering how much rwhp a Z06 with these mods will have?

D1SC, blackwing, MTI X1 cam, MTI underdrive pulley, FAST 90mm intake, 90mm TB, Kook LT headers, no cat, SLP Loudmouth catback. cartek stage 3 heads.

what pulley should i use for the D1SC with these mods?

and i will be running a 3.73 rear. will this car good for low to high 10 sec passses? 3.73 a good choice?

I don't think you would want a UD pulley with a D1SC, although I've been wrong before.

What IC and pulley size are you going to run? Fuel system?

650-750 rwhp is doable with those parts, if setup correctly.

not too sure yet. i was hoping that you guys who have been there and done that would be able to tell me. By IC i'm guessing you mean intercooler, yes? pulley size i'm not sure. what would you recommend for a fuel system? will that be expensive?

is the 3.73 viable? what 1/4 times would you expect?

Yes, IC = inner cooler. Which one or ones are you using?

How much power do you want to make? That setup can make 550 and it can make 700, depending on tuning and pulley size.

You also have to consider how long your stock bottom end will last before it grenades. Figures are anywhere from 500rwhp to 600rwhp before it's toast.

Just be aware of that when you plan your mods. Might be worthwhile to dip into the bottom end and beef it up.

These are the mods i have in mind. my reason for posting this was to find out what parts i need (size pulleys and innercooler/s) and what prep to do. i'm pretty new to this. any and all info is greatly appreciated!
i would probably want to gradually build the power up so that i can get used to the car. is there much difference in prep work for a car having 550hp as opposed to 700hp?

The first thing to do is figure out what you want out of the car and then build a combo to meet your needs. Have you already started buying parts for this project?

nah guys, thats just a wish list i put together by looking at cars and listings on the net. i'm pretty set on the exhaust and the MTI X1 cam. they sound so good together.
what combo of parts do you think are more appropriate for a 575-625rwhp car?

I believe that a D1SC (whether stock ATI or Andy or ECS) kit will come with its own intake so you wont need the blackwing.

I am not too familiar with the MTI X1 but isn't that a pretty aggrassive cam. Might not be what you want for a blower.

With the power levels you want I think you may want to stay with the 3.42 rear if you want any traction on the street.

There are also a lot of other hidden costs with what you want to do(H/C + blower)....built motor, h/d output shafts, brace, new clutch, better tires and a lot of them....

I'm at the same place you are. I would love to see a 10 sec pass, hell 11 sec pass would be nice. Maybe built motor and just the blower. Maybe the H/C and the gears - maybe even 3.90 or 4.10. Like the others have said, its all about figuring out what you want out of the car first.

No room for a Blackwing with the ECS kit.

Call Andy at A&A if you're serious...

For the power level you're wanting, the bottom end probably won't hold up long. You're better off building from the bottom up, it'll be cheaper in the long run. I'd reccomend a forged shortblock, AFR heads and I don't know the details on the cam you mentioned, but a cam specifically made for a blower setup will make more power. Those headers should be fine, LG's would also be a good choice. Then slap on the D1SC kit from Andy (he has his own bracket with kits and tubing that is superior in quality and price to ATI's standard kit) and get it tuned. Now that you're ready to destroy the drivetrain, you'll have to start spending money there. New gears, output shaft and possibly stronger transmission depending on how much traction you end up having, differential brace also will be on the to-buy list. A lot of people like 4.10's with the M6, but with the kind of power you'd have with that setup, 3.73's might be a better choice for traction...

There's you a starting point anyways...

edit: oh, and the cartek heads are probably fine, but AFR's with the same work done to them would be better...

thanks for your help guys. i'm pretty new to this and need all the tech info i can get. i understand that Andy is the person to talk to but at the moment i'm only in the early stages and i feel i will be wasting his time but will make the call soon. i'm pretty stuck on the cam and i'm hoping that it will mate with the D1SC. anyways, the specs are . MTI X1 230 227 .591 .571 112
