Default What should my next mod be?

I want to continue building off the performance mods in my signature, but have no desire to add a turbo, supercharger or nitrous. I was thinking about the FAST 90mm LSX Intake and a Nick Williams 90mm TB. The suspension is good for now. I appreciate any recommendations you have based on your own experiences with those mods!

I always thought the Fast intake isn't worth it until you go with a stroker?

I already have 4.10 gears with hardened output shaft.
ECS, LG Motorsports and others have realized very good results with the 90/90 on a stock cubed motor - approx. 20 hp gain.

Scrap that engine and just go with a 427. That might make you feel a bit better!

I was actually thinking about having ECS convert my 350 to a stroker - perhaps something bigger than a 383 in a few years - not quite a 427 though.

My goal is to be able to transfer the majority of my performance mods to the stroker when the time comes, which is why I was thinking of the 90/90 as my next mod. I would forge the bottom end during the stroker upgrade.

Are there any tuning or idling issues with the FAST LSX Intake and NW 90 TB on stock cubes?

I agree with your decision to go with the FAST intake and 90 mm TB. There are tuning issues but ECS should be able to handle it. A 20 rwhp gain is possible. With your current head/cam package I would have expected more than 413 RWHP/400 RWTQ.

My 4.10 gears are sapping approx. 10-15 hp/tq from my numbers and I believe the ECS dyno reads a little low... I agree ECS could easily tune the 90/90 combo on my setup. I'm trying to figure out if there are any other worthwhile mods I can do at the same time - or have I tapped the well dry at this point re: bang for the buck.

your cam is much too conservative. swap to a LGX3 cam and you should get another 20-25rwhp over the 226/226 cam you are running. it would be a pretty cost effective way to gain a good amount of hp. sell you old cam, buy the new one, and get a forum member to help out with the install. shouldnt cost you more than 200-300 net after sale of old cam.

Unfortunately, I have to deal with tough emissions standards in Fairfax County - so the Futral F4 cam is the biggest I can go and still pass with no problems. If that test ever changes to a PCM check - the G5X3 will go in immediately. Keep the good ideas coming...

Unless you can acquire the FAST and the 90mm TB at good prices, since adding these parts will require a retune, you will be spending alot of $$$$ to get 20 RWHP, even if you do the install yourself to save on the labor.

I have SEEN the results live at Andy's shop. A guy added these same parts that you are talking about. He did pick up about 20 rwhp, but he PAID alot to get those extra 20 ponies.

I'm at the same point in the mods that you are. You are already making good power, if it were me, I'd enjoy what you have for now and save the money to put it down towards more cubes as you mentioned. Sure you will feel the 20 rwhp, but you will get a bigger smile on your face when your stroker (and bored?) big inch motor puts the power to the ground.
