C5 Battery issues and types

I have a Y2K OEM battery that still works. Ive never replaced a battery before it was flat out dead. But then, Ive never had a battery sitting on top of the PCM.

I was reading a battery thread on here and wanted some input.

What after market battery do you have

How much was it

Did it bolt right in place

Hows it working out.

My wifes family van bateery is also a Y2K, and it will be dead in the driveway when I replace it.

The battery in my Y2K just started warning me it wasn't long for this world, so I replaced it with a Red Top, from Costco, $109. Bolts right in, slightly smaller and lighter. Working fine.

I just put in a Optima Red Top yesterday. Model number is 75-25. Fits perfectly. $106 with tax out the door at Batteries Plus.
