Does installation of the window valet require removal of the lower panel under the steering wheel?

I wish all mods were this easy. Once you plug it in and set it up, you'll never have to think about it again.

Negative, easiest mod ever. Just follow the steering column down until you find the opening. Just plug the valet into the exposed OBDII port. Might take you 5 seconds the first time and then two each time after. The programming will take some time just cycling thru the options on the DIC but the plug in is a piece of cake.

Since it is so easy to install, it is also easy to steal. I agree with others who suggest you unplug it when you leave the car in for service.
