As for the price hike, I don't know what to say. I suppose some of it is steel, some of it is demand. If you shop around, there are some places that are cheaper. Check out Corvette Central, their price is 1199.00, and I believe it has been that way for at least a year.

I have the Magna-flow with x-pipe on my 2000 A4. I agree with College_guy, it sounds great, and is not tooooo loud. You can hear me comming and you know when I go. I love the sound from inside the Vette. The system was on my Vette when I purchased it, so I am not too sure of the price differences. You might ask Mid America what you get for the higher price!

I paid $1070 shipped to my door for the four-tip magnaflows and the x-pipe. It is high robbery to pay anything more than 1100 bucks for them. I got mine from corvette garage at the time about a year ago. It is a very conservative system. A drone at around 1500rpms when accelerating and good sound at wide open throttle, but i have heard much louder systems. you may want to head to a car show to check different systems out first.

Love Them!!! The looks are awesome. I have got'em on my 98' vert and they sound and look great. The only thing I noticed is the first few months I had them, when I drove the car and got out I noticed a funny smell, I believe it must have been burning away some of the noise packing material.

This is the system that i have on mine(quad tips)....i paid if i remember correctly 925$ shipping included...it was a few days offert,and that's why i got them....The quality is great;they are not loud at all,nice deep sound different from the others....for my test i would like them a bit louder...but i guess i will do that by saving some money and put the LG's headers
