Guage lighting question
I was told that their is 2 blue bars that light the guage cluster. They have a wrap on them to dim them down. If you remove the wrap will they look more like the cobalt guages if you install the stainless steel bezels?

I might be a bit careful about modifying them. Those are ultra-violet units from my understanding and you may wind up inadvertantly making things worse, at least a far as the illumination aspect is concerned. Best I can tell, when they illuminate, they cause the white paint on the gauge cluster instruments to "phosphoresce" (glow). Aside from looking good, this approach to gauge lighting eliminates having a whole bunch of little light bulbs on the back of the cluster to have to worry about when they eventually burn out. Also, as far as I know, they are not serviced as a seperate item through GM parts. If you should happen to screw them up, you're looking at replacing them entire gauge cluster assembly. HTH
