Harlan Shift Light placement
Also, what is the best RPM to setit for so I get good power at max RPM's taking into account the time it will take to shift gears?
Thanks,
Rodrigo
Next, you need to find a way to bring the wire through the firewall. On the WS6 there was a rubber plug in the firewall where other wires were already being run that I was able to use. Also, if I recall, I had to tap into a power and ground source. I just used those wire taps you can get at any hardware store where you clamp them onto existing wires without having to cut them apart.
Next, you just need to find a mounting location. Many people will hold it in place in the vent using velcro. I mounted mine with the mount harlan provided on the side of the center console of the WS6.
Also, programming the shift light is not as hard as it might seem so long as you have harlan's graph that gives all the dip switch settings.
Cool product!!

I made a custom mount to go in my gauge pod. I know a few here have put one in the center vent but most agree it's not a fun or easy location to do so.
Here's a shot of my Raptor.
I also once made a custom bracket out of Delrin based on my Raptor bracket for a friend of mine with a Harlan.
