Default Need Some Help with rear signal problem please.

So, First, I have been through the archives, but I have not found my specific issue.

What Happens:
- My Right turn signal blinks VERy rapidly, about 3-4X normal.
- My rear turn signals on the passenger side (rear only) Both do not operate.
- When hazzards are turned on, all work fine.
- When lights are on, both work fine.

I have replaced the bulbs to be certain, no results.

From reading past posts, It seems to be a ground maybe? (I only have an aftermarket exhaust added back there)
or
Is is the relay / Hazard / Stalk ?

Any help is appreciated as I am far from good with electric.

BTW - it is my 2000 with ~35K miles.

Thanks!
Chris

It doesn't seem to be a rear ground problem. If it was, they wouldn't work with the hazard lights, or brake lights either. That is the biggest clue right there, and it would seem to point to a stalk (switch) problem.

You said when the lights are on, both work fine....does that mean the tailights work fine, or the that the RR turn signals work if the taillights are on?
I would assume the former, as there doesn't seem to be any connection tying the taillights and turn signal curcuits....they are seperate circuits and use dual-filament bulbs, so the taillight operation should have no bearing on the turn signal problem.

I have the exact same problem. Will try the Hazard switch, but I don't feel like taking apart the damn dash.

Default Had similar problem

I also have a 2000 coupe and I had the same problem and I had to replace my front parking light bulbs because one of the bulbs filaments was almost completely broken not quit all the way. I think that this caused some kind of short and imediately it fixed all my problems.

Default Turn Signal problem

Have 2000 C5 Coupe Drivers side rear turn signal flashes very fast. Left front signal not working at all. Sick of overpriced dealer. Can I change the bulb myself. How do you remove the lense. Please advise ..Also what are the best bulbs?
Thanks

sfrob, just twist it counterclockwise socket that the wire is connected to and all. that will release it from the housing.
