Pass Window Rubbing
Took the Pass side interior door panel off last night to prep for painting car. Noticed that now when I run the window up and down, the rear of the window (probably about 8 inches forward from the rear of the window) rubs against a rubber thing which apparently shields the upper righthand regulator cable.
The window starts rubbing when it is about 1 - 1 1/2 inch above the door frame, and it continues for about 6 - 8 inches. Then the bottom part of the window gradually gets farther away as the window comes up, so it stops rubbing.
I don't think this is related to my removing the interior panel, but I just noticed that it is starting to rub. Do I need to take the upper rear regulator out and SLIGHTLY bend the cable bracket away from the window? Is there another way to stop this rubbing?
This happened w/ the door open. I d/n try operating the window w/ the door closed to see if the same thing happened.
Any thoughts / advice is appreciated.
