M6 transmission failure
As you know, the shifter will not go into reverse if the car is moving forward because of the reverse lock-out gate.
But over the last few days, when shifting from 4th to 5th, the shifter DOES enter reverse instead of 5th. Fortunately, I've noticed this in time not to release the clutch.
Is anyone familiar with this type of transmission failure? Is it common?
