On yesterday after i washed my car, when i started the car, the wipers were going crazy. First they wouldn't come on at all, then they started and wouldn't stop until i took out the fuse. Could this be the work of the corroded ground connectors? Or could this be something else, once again gracious ones of corvette forum, i need your insight, please help. should i just take it (my 97 coupe) to the dealer and get raped again or what...

Just had my '02 in for something similar. Started the car and the wipers turned on and wouldn't shut off. Took her to the shop and had the wiper switch replaced...part # 26047377...good as new. Hope it's as simple for you
Mine also started doing this last summer. Sunny, 90 degrees, top off, and my wipers were on high. Pretty embarrassing. I eventually removed the fuse and haven't messed with them since. My windshield drains were clogged with leaves and other debris. I think maybe my wiper motor got soaked and shorted out. Check the drains (two rubber nipples located below drivers side wiper). Maybe I should get this fixed since my warranty runs out in November
