Code 0440 - Evap Malfunction?
To the person that can help me...
This code has been thrown in my 2000 Coupe and I need some help narrowing the prob down, so I can fix it.
Is it a serious one?
What will cause it?
How do I fix the problem?
Your help is greatly appreciated.
1,000 miles ago I swapped the entire exhaust with headers and cats and XR-1 Racing system. I also replaced the LS1 Manifold with LS6 Manifold and have had no problems since. Thanks.

Here is some help. Detailed description of the code for a 2000 Corvette. It could be as simple as a faulty gas cap, or much more involved in having to replace some of the EVAP components.

It is a gas cap issue and I have a new one coming in. It is just not holding a tight seal, so I played around a while with and got it on nice and snug and now things are fine. What a pain in the booty.
