How long till it settles down to its lowest point. I lowered by Vette on stock bolts today. Didn't cut bushing or anything...just turned some screws. Four turns in front (all there was room for ) and five turns in the back. I hear people talk about it settling over time...so, what can I expect timewise?
Also, it seems that the rear has settled a bit faster than the front. Any reason for this?
ADDITIONAL NOTE: If anyone is thinking of lowering their Vette and hasn't done so for lack of perceived mechanical ability...let me say this, a monkey could do it. I have no mechanical skill and simply followed the directions on the internet...took less than an hour.
All you need is (1) floor jack and stands, 13/16 wrench, 18 mm wrench, 10 mm wrench. I took the tires off all 4 wheels to give myself room. I'm glad I did this; although, I don't expect a huge change from turning just a few screws.
Thanks in advance guys. I would never have tried this if it wasn't for this forum.

Two weeks to settle in my opinion. Just remember you need to get it realigned too.
Find a canyon and give her a work out, brake hard and get into the abs, she will settle quick.
Watching for it to settle without driving is like watching grass grow. Your alignment will not be that far off that you can't go have some fun.
That's good to know, both about the settling and the alignment. I was worried because I have a meeting abut 125 miles away on Tuesday...that's 250 round trip with wheels out of allignment. I didn't want to screw anything up.
Mine was lowered about two weeks ago and I noticed what you said. One day the rear was lower than the next day the front looked lower. After one week it settled and all looked even. I cant tell if it dropped any more the second week.
