Default Ngk Tr55

Does anyone know if the NGK TR55's come pre-gapped? I bought the V power NGK's yesterday and need to know if I should gap them to the stock .60 or what. Please advise. My car has no mods other than Z06 mufflers.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, I was searching and want a conclusive answer.
Should I set the gap for the TR55s at .55 or .60?

Try 0.055. Interestingly, did you know that the stock o.e. delco 41-985 spark plugs are set at 0.04? The Chevrolet Dealership corvette techs are instructed not to change this gap due to new research that produced a TSB that now recommends the contrary to the 0.060 posted in our Corvette C5 owners manuals. Therefore, unless you are supercharging, or, consistently juicing with nitro, do try the 0.055 setting. And, do let us know how this turns out for you. Good luck.

Thanks! I don't really want to be testing things out on my car though lol. Has anyone done this for a long period of time. My car is not heavily modded no SC or Turbo or nitrous.

I guess the .06 gap was too much causing a bigger flame and it was maybe going out in the high rpms causing breakup?

If I don't hear otherwise I will gap them at .055

No, NGK TR55 is not the stock plugs. Gap it to ~.055 should be good.

The stock plug is the Delco Iridium 41-985. They come pregapped at .040. I have them in my heads and cam car and they work great. They're also a much longer lasting plug than the copper TR55s. But, each to their own. I just don't care to change out plugs every year as some of my TR55 user friends do. Don't know if they actually have to, but that's what they do. That's not for me.
