Check light coming on....help
My check engine light came on today. My battery, oil temperature, coolant temps, all seems fine....even checked the gas cap....it has been pinging a little lately...recently went to California...also put Seven Eleven gas in....was extremely low on gas and it was the closes one...got to talking to someone and filled it up....wanted to just put in a few bucks until getting to a Chevron...maybe a gas problem but thought i noticed her pinging a bit before going to Cal...Have PRTs and usually have the radio on so didn't notice it probably right away...anyway have a Predator tune and am not quite knowledgeable as far as what to do...If i take it to the dealership will i have to clear out the Predator? Or if anyone has suggestions would be appreciated....thanks

pinging?
pinging=bad gas.drop some dry gas to remove water.get engine code to see what's wrong.hold options button and press fuel button 4 times until the dic says something about the codes coming thru.i had to do it the other day.it's easy.write down what they are and post it.it'll be a letter and some #'s.either H or C after the code,for history(past code)or current.p.s.the key needs to be in the on position to get codes.

Pulled the codes up....all were H codes....prior history....cleared the codes....drove the car this morning and after three minutes the engine light went out....hopefully never to return...
