Helping a buddy turn his C5 into a street legal race car. He recently bought a set of AP racing calipers, and a set of I-forged wheels. The problem is that the calipers are hitting the inside of the wheel, and need aprox 3/4" of spacing between rotor and wheel to gain the needed clearance. We have come across several options, with the cheaper being add the spacing.
A:Will adding 3/4" of spacing (if we can even find studs long enough, and after alignment) be too much for the supension and control arm to handle?
B:If I can do A, where is the best place to find the longer studs required, as well as the spacers?
Got mine at http://www.wheeladapter.com/wheel_ad...el_spacers.asp
Fill out the info they request and you'll receive a call from the Owner himself. I was amazed at his service. Told him what I had, wanted to do and he made the spacer/adapters for me. He deals only via UPS COD. I received the spacer/adapters and they worked perfect. The cost was resonable as well.
