headlight door problem--2000 coupe
does anybody out there think that the headlight control module could be giving me a malfunctioning headlight door?---when lights are switched off the drivers side headlight goes down and then pops back up about a third of the way--the passenger side is fine--I have read a bunch of threads on similiar problems and nobody mentions the module(the module is located on the passenger side below the headlight assembly and lists for $179.00)

Had the same problem different results
I had the same problem shortly after replacing the nylon gear in the motor with a brass one. I found that the nylon stops were getting lots of wear from the metal lever and cutting into the nylon stop. After about 3-4 light on/off the nylon stop would fail again. A real PITA since it kept happening and the nylon stops are about $5 a peice from the dealer. (A real rip ... their cost has to be less than a dime to make).
I will try following the tech spec and add the washer and see if this fixes the wear issue on the nylon stop.
