Default General Preventative Maintainance on 2000

I have a 2000 Auto Coupe with about 17000 miles on it. The only maintainance I've done over the years is to change the oil. What other items should I consider? Coolant flush?

Coolant change every 5 years is a good idea.

Yes. Get fresh Dexcool or equivalent in there ASAP. The stuff tends to build up a nasty brown sludge over time. You should be ok with that low mileage though.

The service writer suggested a new fuel filter and flushes for the
transmission and differential fluids. What is the opinion of these items
on a 17000 mile C5?

On a 6 year old vette I would do the following, regardless of the miles.

Oil
Oil Filter
Trans Fluid
Power steering fluid
Brake fluid
Coolant
Rear diff fluid

IMHO

I would add replace the belt(s AC) just to be safe. Don't want to be out and have the belt go away and be stranded.

I have a 2000 FRC.

At 20K miles, I had replaced all the fluids.

I was gonna change plugs, but I thought they still have alot of life in them.

Next are the tires. EMTs are almost bald at 22K miles and Im thinking if I still want to go EMTs from Firestone or Yokos.

If you have the original battery (highly unlikely) thank your lucky stars you still have a computer, and replace it with an Optima or any good battery before it squirts acid all over your PCM.
