The engine is not what's tuned it is the car that is tuned. Every car is different in its characteristics so that is why there is custom tuning. I would suggest contacting A&A Corvettes, ECS, or MTI/Houston to come up with a plan. They can probably come as close as possible to a custom tune without having your car shipped over here while keeping it safe. However it will most likely involve shipping your pcm back and forth. But if you put the engine on a dyno? Cant you simulate load points and tune fuel and spark, and then perhaps get a 90% good tune ?

thanks

A motor is strictly a bunch of mechanical parts that are assembled. When Air/Fuel/Spark is added the parts move..... (I know you already know this ) The engine is NOT what you tune(to an extent) . Its the Computers that run the engine that need the tuning. I can take a "Perfectly" tuned engine out of one car and put it in another car and blow it up in less than 30 Seconds if its not tuned correctly.

Point being. Buy the motor, Ship your PCM to a tuner and have him modify the program so that it mates up to the mods on the engine/car.

I would call some the tuners and see (I know they do) if the have some motors that are already broken in and tuned after they have been broken in. Some of their customers are upgrading. Sometimes the tuners themselves, sell their own engines.

You may want to contact Cartek. They ship a few motors a year overseas and are pretty familiar with making accomodations for customers regarding tuning, shipping etc. Good Luck
