Default Optima Battery Charging
I recently replaced the original AC Delco battery with a new Optimia red top after reading about the corrosion risks with these lead-acid batteries. Does anyone know if a battery tender can be used on the Optima battery. Owner's manual for the battery tender ssys for use on lead acid batteries only. ?????? Thanks

Yes it can. I have used one on an Optima for 3 years. Optimas are normal batteries, they just suspend the acid in a spiral wrap so it wont leak.

w/ mnotx. It's OK to use a Battery Tender on your Optima.
