Default What exhaust should I get?

I recently became a "'Vette person" (only car I've ever driven that everyone waves at me, and I've driven a number of eye catchers from ricers to old school muscle cars, and I've never experianced the 'Vette wave with any of them.) I've got a '98 corvette and the thing that has bothered me the most about it is it's quiet exhaust. Now I do understand that many people like that about the car, I just don't like it. I have a '96 Camaro Z28 with SLP exhaust and I've been very happy with the sound and performance increase (22HP.) I haven't done any reasearch on what to get for the Corvette, but I figured that this would be the best place start. I'm interested in a throaty catback system that looks good and isn't going to fall apart in ten minutes. The SLP system on my Camaro was pretty poorly shaped and took some imagination to get it on. I'm hoping to avoid those kinds of issues with the Corvette.

well you will get a million different answers here. Most will agree though that you need to go to a corvette outting and hear a few of the different systems.

I would also add to your list a new Air Filter system like Blackwing or Halltech. That will help with adding a few HP to your car.

Oh BTW I have GHLs and love them prior and after the kook headers

Actually I already have an intake system, but I'm not sure what kind it is anyone recognize this one? I know I'll get millions of different opinions I'm really just looking for some thoughts before I start reading all kinds of different things. I live in middle of nowhere Arkansas so I'm not really sure where to go to hear C5 Corvettes. I used to live in Austin and I'm sure I could find a number of 'Vettes there but in rural NW Arkansas?

Don't know what system that is but I can see you also have an aftermarket air coupler going from throttle body to air duct.

I love my Corsa's - magnificent idle tone, hammer it and it REALLY sounds great (read, loud). On the road at speed, they are very quiet and no reverb to drive you nuts on a long run.

I have the Stingers, (2-tip also), and I love them. You can buy them pretty cheap, and they're made by Borla, and very good quality. Awesome sound!!!

I had the magnaflow magnapack. Very loud, very light and I think it flowed well. Lots of noise inside the cockpit though. On my next C5 I am going to try the Borla XR-1 racing exhaust. I also plan to do the frost king mod this time around.
