Is sealer needed on studs
Clean the threaded holes well, making sure no fluid is left. You can make a makeshift tap by grinding two flats on a used head bolt. Run it through each hole to make sure your threads are clean. The studs should be fairly easy to thread in - use an allen key in the top of the stud if necessary but it shouldn't take much force to bottom out in the hole. Make sure you use the ARP assembly grease when you screw put on the washers and nuts.Studs are great - especially if you frequently pull the heads or have a problem down the road.
