Default slotted rotors

I hear some good and some bad stories about these. I need to replace brakes soon and for the little extra, think I might go with drilled and slotted rotors. Any advice?

If your into road racing, then no, not a good choice. their more for looks and car shows...

If you need a recommendation, go with the sportbrakes rotors. their zinc plated, so no rust! I'm getting them myself, and many others on the forum like them! plus the price is right, 249 for all 4 corners!

I need to do some brake replacement work myself and am thinking about going with something other than the stock rotors - the fronts seem pretty warped and I'm not sure if they can be turned or not, I haven't checked. Anyway, I have been looking at the GM Performance parts drilled and slotted rotors as a replacement and upgrade from stock. The price seems right and comperable to stock. Does anyone have an opinion on these or something else not too exotic. I've got a 98 daily driver that is basically stock and combo in-town and highway motoring daily. Thanks.
