Default Front lowering bolt stripped..now what?

Put in Z51 springs but cut the bushings first. wasn't low enough and I have room to go farther. Relieved the tension on the spring and went to lower but stripped the SOFT 10mm top bolt. Can I thread a nut onto the top bolt and get the bushing up this way..HELP!

If you can fit it try jam nutting 2 nuts together and then turning it. If not vice grips but NOT on the threds.

what is "jam nutting", and how can I do it?

I had the same problem stripping my nut

put 2 nuts on the stud and tighten them against each other (not the spring) jamming them together. Then it locks to the stud turning it into a bolt. but thats only if their is enough room

My Vette mechanic buddy says he can fix it using the old bolts from the other spring without taking down the spring again. I hope!
