This is just my opinion but, since your car is basically stock, why not load the basic program and see how you like it? You can always change it later but I wouldn't mess with changing parameters unless I really knew whay I was doing. - C.

Never change parameters unless you have a dyno test or wideband log. Do the basic tune and if you prefer, change your T*stat and reprogram your fan settings.

If I can do over, I would had settled for a dyno tune/LS1 Edit. $400 is too expensive for a fan controller.

Guess I don't understand your last statement...there's a lot more to the Predator Performance tune than just fan control.

The Predator Basic tune did not do anything to my HP. I have a Hardtop w/ an M6. If it were an A4, I would benefit more with the Predator since I can set shift points (best reason to own these programmers).

I took out the basic tune from my ECU and just decided to run stock. All I got from the Predator is the ability to set my fans' on and off duty cycles.

Yep...totally agree. I have an A4...makes a big difference with the torque management. I have also changed gears, and the Pred allows me to re-calibrate the PCM for the 3.42's and shift points.

Since you have an A4, the Predator basic Perfoamance Tune will make a noticeable improvement.

Then after running with the basic Performance Tune for a few weeks; then try to :

* increase shift pressure by +10%
* decrease shift time by -10%
* increase timing by +3% (if you use 92-93 octane exclusively)

and then if everything is running perfectly at that point; try leaning the WOT AFR by about -5%

But... further "tweaking" is necessary to find the best values for your particular car and unique circumstances.
