I use them when not running at the track. They don't have the stopping power the stockers have. That's why they have less dust. They are ok for street driving since they generate less dust than the stockers, but I am considering going back to stock because I miss the good initial bite of the stock pads. I have heard good things about the EBC Green's, but no direct experience with them.
I've been using them for about 6 months now. Installed with a new set of Baer Eradispeed rotors. Very little dust - nice change. The only time I really notice "less bite" when braking is the very first time or two I use my brakes when cold (e.g., when I leave in the morning). Simply using the brakes when backing out of my driveway and at the first stop 100 yards away at the corner does the trick for me. After that it's not a problem. The only downside IMO is cosmetic. The rotors don't have that clean, shiny look. They get sort of a darker, burnt look. Minor, but it did bother me at first.

so how long have you had the durastops on your vette ???
I have had mine for about 2-1/2 years (maybe 15k or so)I like them a lot! I just recently ,for ther first time ever, noticed any problem with braking,(which I did not like a bit)
I was coming back from the mountains and doing a downhill run at @ 70 or so,well, I came up on some slower traffic kinda abruptly and I really had to stand on the brakes pretty hard!!
I was a little surprised actually, because throughout normal driving freeway and basically flat land,I have never had an issue...
I have had numerous quick/short stops and they have performed well.
I think when you get in a situation where brake heat becomes a factor, these are not the best choice.
Having said that, when I replace them...they will be delco ceramics again. I will just be aware of conditions..if ya know what I mean
I have had ceramics for approx 3 months now. Changed from stockers due to dust issue. Like earlier post appears notice diff when just get in and everthing is cold. I dont think GM would sell pads that are inferior and offer considerably less stopping power. Many members use them. If you do not race your vet then they are a good alternative to stockers.

I've got EBC Greens on my Ducati. Much improved feel and very progressive control/modulation. I'll definitely put them on the bike again. Possibly shorter life than the "insta-grab", nofeel stock pads.
My $.02 and yeah, I know it's a Duck, not a Vette.
