Provided you are staying NA I'd go with the 66 cc 205's and mill them .30 to bump up the CR.

Most go with 62cc like mine... (.024 mill). I just installed a set of 59cc from LG with there G5X3 cam for a friend.

-Are you willing to fly-cut your pistons???

-Do have easy access to 93 (or better) octane gas???

I do have 93 octane everywhere here, nut I don't really want to flycut pistons

Well, there you go... with a cam that size you will be limited to how far you can mill... (if you can mill any at all, that cam has a lot of lift...)

232/240 Duration & 595/608 Lift...

LG used to sell/recommend a 59cc AFR head w/the GX3. You obviously would have to flycut in that instance.
The thing is you really should mill (and flycut unfortunately) for the additional compression a cam that big needs.

Mark I am going to Lapeer tomorrow.

LG says they have a 66cc AFR head ready to bolt on, no flycutting necessary, no other modifications necessary other than tuning, I'll have to think about this over the weekend, they say I would gain about 40 more rwhp, that would put me at 422rwhp..total cost with gaskets etc. $2,700.00..

I'd double or triple check that. That cam will work with a stock head. The AFR head has a bigger valve. I really doubt that would clear.
What's $2700? Just the heads and gaskets? That's too much.

I'm not trying to be a wise guy here, Andy, but I don't understand that statement.
I assume that price includes, at the very least, AFR 205 heads, on sale at Texas Speed now for $2000 plus s/h, rods, gaskets, install and tune.

Is that really too much to expect to pay ?

...if, the $2700 includes s/h, rods, gaskets, install and tune, then IMHO the price is very reasonable.

price includes "dealer" prices for headbolts, and all gaskets, ex.manifold, intake manifold, and head gaskets, I need to check around on those. heads inc. comp 921's..bolt on ready to go.

So, the $2700 does not include install & tune?

Well, if the $2700 includes all the associated parts, along with the AFR 205 Heads, then still reasonably priced. Yet, the tune & labor will probably be at least another $1K [not your specific shop, just an avg.].

The AFR 205s are not inexpensive, to say the least. I've seen them anywhere from $2000-$2500, w/o the 921 Dual Springs & needed associated parts.

I don't think the $2K at Texas Speed includes install & tune? Or, maybe that is what you are saying?

How could $2,700 be considered a good deal for a set of AFR 205's. Those are great heads, don't get me wrong, but, nearly $3K not including install or tune is a total rip off.
