Thanks Vectorz (Changed oil pressure Sensor)
The change took me about 2 hours. Although my 2000 Corvette, under the covers, was a little different, the guidance from Vectorz is A+++ Look for the linkand it will save you a lot of trouble.
Here are a few things that I almost messed up on that a novice should look out for!
Torquing the intake manifold is in llb inches and not foot llbs. WATCH OUT! I also did not have the right Torque wrench, and spent time locating one for inch llbs!! In addion, I did not have the right wobble connector to Torque the manifold bolts that are at the back near the sensor. I just gave them the same tighness i felt on the the torqued bolts.
In additon I did replace the manifold gasket even though it is not necessary.
As indicated, you need 1 1/16 deep socket, but the key here is that you need a socket specific for an Oil Sensor. I had to wait for friends of mine to locate one.
If you are a novice, take the time and read the instructions from the forum experts very carefully.
Again.. Thanks to Vectorz and all the other experts who make this forum so GREAT. And even if you are a novice try it out! I did and saved $400
