2 Problems: A/c & Front Light Lenses

A/c clanging & Lower Front Light Lenses with water
When I start my 98 Coupe a intermittent clanging starts. The A/C control will be turned on. If the A/C control is turned off the sound will stop. If the car is run 10-15 minutes the clanging sound does not start if the a/c control is turn on.
My other problem is water / water condensation in the car's front lower turn signal lenses. Are these lenses not water tight? If so where is the water coming from to enter the lense enclosure? There are no cracks in the outside lenses, but I can see water condensation on the inside of both lower front signal lenses. It has been raining & the car was driven in the rain, but should there be any water in these lenses. Causes my signal lights to cut out and the turn signal lights do not work until the area drys out.
