I have a 2000 coupe and last night when I went to signal a left turn, I had no blinker signal. It eventualy came on and then off again. Right side was the same. After further investigation I found that the fourway emergency flashers were doing the exact same thing. They blink OK for a few seconds then speed up or stop all together. I looked for a flasher fuse or relay and found none. Could any one help me out?
Thanks a bunch!
Same thing happened to me, I got it repaired under extended warrenty. I dont think there is a fuse with the rest of them. They mentioned there is a whole moduale that is inside the dash that needs to be replaced. I can look at my receipt when i get home if you'd like and let you know what it would have costed me.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the emergency flasher unit and turn signals are connected and that the emergency flasher switch is the culprit. Try cycling the emergency flasher a dozen times and see if the turn signals will work. If they do, then I think you will need to replace the emergency flasher switch. It isn't all that espensive to buy the switch, but it ain't fun to install. And, make sure your radio is unlocked before disconnecting or you'll have one more thing to do after reassembly. Good luck.

it is the flasher behind the emergency flasher button. it happened to me too. however, you can change it yourself without pulling the dash. a forum member had a "how to" on accessing the flasher by pulling the climate control and radio. i did it last year and it worked like a charm. i'll see if i still have the directions. pm me if you'd like them. good luck.

There are great instructions in this thread (with pics) on how to change the flasher without pulling the dash. I used them when replacing the bad flasher on my 2000 last month. Hope this helps...Replace Emergency Flasher
Must be "that time" for the 2000's emergency flasher module to go bad. I replaced mine 2 weeks ago in my 2000. Follow the directions above and you'll have no problem.
