Stock Exhaust Tips

My sotck exhuast tips are strting to lose theur fake chrome polish. Starting to see some black underneath the fake chrome.

So, Should I get a new system? The cops in my area are starting to crakc down on loud exhausts. I live in an area, in the country, where the cops have nothing better to do, but mess with you.

Or, should I just change the stock tips?

Any ideas on how to take off the tips, by myslef???

What do tips have to do with loud exhaust? You can get slide on tips for around $40-$100.
