Engine knock
Engine knocks when I start the engine cold, volume increases when backing down the driveway, then stops after 1-2 minutes of engine warming up. Noise disappears faster when I idle in neutral and increase rpm's to 2000 to 3000. After engine is warm I cannot detect knocking, but engine will knock again after start-up (but for a shorter period of time). Sounds like a valve to me, but I'm not mechanically inclined. Any suggestions on what the problem is and potential solutions to.

Car is stock, change oil every 3000 miles. Car has 23,500 miles, only driven on weekends.

sounds like a problem many have reported with a family of GM engines. I don't know what people are doing about this, there is some type of class action lawsuit pending, otherwise, I think GM claims this to be a "normal" occurence.
