Default ELECTRICAL seat rocking

This ISN'T the typical seat rocking thread (my prob isn't due to the seat mounts, I don't think).

I've previously noticed that my drivers seat does not go up and down in either the front or back as much as my passenger seat, or at least so it seemed. So, yesterday, I was goofing w/ my drivers seat and here's what I noticed.

When I sit in the seat, and hit the lever to raise the rear of the seat, the rear of the seat (rear motor) goes up a little and stops just like it is at the end of upward travel. Then, if I hit the lever to raise the front of the seat, the front of the seat (front motor) goes up a little and stops just like it is at the end of upward travel. Then, if I hit the switch to make the REAR of the seat go up, the Rear motor raises the rear of the seat a little more and stops like it has hit the end of travel. I can keep doing this front - rear until the seat does fully raise.

I was able to fully raise and lower my drivers seat, but it was little by little going as follows: front up some, rear up some, front up some, rear up some, front up some, rear up some . . . until the seat was fully raised. Lowering the seat is the same, rear down some, front down some, rear down some, front down some, until the seat is finally as low as it could possibly go.

My passenger seat allows me to fully raise the front or back of the seat, without alternatining between front and back. Drivers seat doesn't.

Anyone had this problem before? What is the cause, and what is the solution?

Thanks.
