Default Ordered Heads and Cam Today!!!

Ordered PRC 2.5's and Comp 224-230 / 581-588 114lsa Package #2 from Jason at Texas Speed and Performance. Ordered center-bolt valve covers, coil brackets and new PCV hose set-up from local dealership. Does anyone have any experience ( or opinions) with this combo? My 98 mn6 coupe has Dyno'd at 327.6 rwhp and 343 rwtq with Dynatechs, Borlas, Blackwing and Tune. I am hoping for 400 rwhp. Now, if anyone wants to come to Macon GA and assist me (Heat Index 111 today) I would be eternally grateful.

Regards,
Jay Lee

I will do the job. I've been in automotive service and the automotive aftermarket my entire life. However, my internal engine work experience has mostly been on VW, Porsche, Audi, small and big block Chevrolets. ( Currently own 70 Chevelle BB 454 40 over w/ 10.5 to 1). So, you can bet your boots I have read LS1HOWTO on H/C change at least ten times. And when job begins I will have a print-out of above, plus the GM manuals. Mistakes / oversights happen, so you can never have to much input and advice on this job.

Best,
Jay Lee

Hey, I think I have seen you around a couple times. If you are the same guy, you go by my house quite often.

The head and cam idea sounds awesome. Soon, I will be there also. Let us know what numbers it puts down.

You will be over 410rwhp, but not sure how much more over that. Looks like you are missing a few mods; LS6intake, ported TB, UD pulley.

What compression will the heads put you at???

64cc - should get me a half a point.

Going to pass on ported TB. Still mulling over intake and UD Pulley. (I am definately not sold on the durability of some of these UD pulleys.)

Best,
Jay

I would not worry about the UD pulley coming apart. I have 82 dyno runs and 6000 miles on mine and it has been reinstalled 4 times for cam changes...
