Default A4 shift linkage question

I just swapped from my M6 to an A4 and can not find out what holds the shift linkage in place right after the shifter. I have the bracket on the tranny but it looks like the cable will just flex unless there is something else holding it up by the shifter, and I have nothing there. There is a fitting on the cable with a slot in it like it is supposed to slide into a bracket, but GM could not find anything in the parts book and I couldn't see anything in my parts CD. Anyone have theirs apart and can take a look? Here is the cable and the part that looks like it should clip into something.

TIA, Eric

There is a small bracket that is spot welded onto the tunnel itself. I believe you will need to get it from the donor car.BTW it is a PITA to remove and must be welded back into place. You could probably fabricate one with little work.

Thanks, I'll probably fab one up, hopefully I can mount it with a couple of self tappers. I'm anxious to try that tranny of yours out.
