I took my 2000 into the Dealer for a rear end noise, and climate control issue. I failed to remove the Predator performance tune. If they reset the BCM will I be able to re apply the tune, and or backup the "new" stock tune?
I have always removed the tune, new I was bound to forget sooner or later.
Call them, talk to the service rep and tell him not to reprogram your car! They just might due to the climate control issue.... Maybe you can get there and unload it before they work on it....
Yes, if they modified the PCM you are screwed. I called them before I had the column lock "fix" done and they told me to restore the stock tune and send the unit to them so they could unlock it. When I got the unit back it would back up the new stock tune. I don't know when you got the Predator but I bought mine 2-years ago. The unit marries with a VIN and the first time you use the stock program will be backed up, and never backed up again.
Call them before you do anything and they can tell you how to proceed.
There was some talk about a new Predator upgrade that would unlock the unit when the Stock Tune was restored, mine still is locked and will never backup the stock tine again. So the problem is that is the dealer modifies the PCM and I don't know it, whenever I restore the stock tune I will lose the changes they made.
