I think the widest tire available is a 355. And IMHO, the widest wheel I'd mount on a 355 is 13". Any wider and the tire will appear to be stretched to fit the wheel and that's not an appealing quality to me. When you look at your wheel and tire from directly behind, I prefer a bit of a sidewall bulge. The wheel tire packages from CCW tend to take that asthetic into account very well. Look at a lot of wheel and tire setups and decide what looks best to you.

Just my $0.02

Hi Midnight,

Congratulations on your wide body kit, my friend !! Wow, your car will be incredible! And, with the added extra width to the body front and rear, you will be able to successfully add 13 inch wide wheels to the rear. Moreover, in regards to your interest, in general, for upgrading wheels and tires, as well as, questions concerning a possible 14 inch wide wheel application: Please refer to the following link dated 7-24-05, posted on the C5 Tech Page titled "What wider tires are available in 19 inch" by fellow CF member "Niphilli 2". Scroll down this page and you will see my solutionary and informative comments regarding these issues. Plus, there is a great pic of a nude chassis with an amazing set of 13 inch rear wheels and tires. The link can be found at http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...601&forum_id=1. Again, if the link does not function, merely access the info via entering the above mentioned date and thread title. Midnight, congrats!! And, send us some pics of your amazing beast. You are doing a great job.

Best Wishes,
Eden

Maybe I should be asking what's the widest tire... not rim. Who has 355's?

If I didn't think and just did it my car would end up looking like an F1 car! Wait... I think that came out wrong. I'm like dieing trying to finish this car. It's the home strech and I gotta throw down some big bones to finish it. Truth is... the body is finished but I'm not showing you guys any photos till I complete the package. Is that mean?

I'm just kidding, I still need to install the nose and lights.

You could put on a set of Mickey Thompson ET Street which require 14" rims. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.html

Hi Midnight,

Again, congratulations on your wide body kit. Currently, the widest legal "street tire" for the consumer public is the 355/25-19 Pirelli PZero Rosso Assimetricos. At this time, this size tire is made by Pirelli, only. And, the appropriate wheel size for this amazing tire size is a 19X13. At your convenience, do access the links and thread that I recommended for more info. Enjoy.

Best Wishes,
Eden
