Starting Issue

Last night I ran a few errands. Several stops with no problems. Pulled in and got gas, when leaving I turned the key, nothing. All power accessories worked as normal. I popped the hood and checked the battery connections. I could slightly rotate the negitive cable, but still would not crank. I jumped it and it fired right up. Got home and tighted the negitive cable. No issues this morning after several starts. I have read that there are ground points that need to be cleaned occasionally, so I think that should probably be a the next step to do now. Any other things to look at? Where are these ground points located? The car is a 2000 with around 53K on it and has a Delco Professional bettery that is just 1 year old. Maybe time for a Optima?

Sounds like your Negative terminal was just a tad to loose and you corrected that. Ther appears to be nothing left to tdo except drive the car.
