Default F55 Conversion finally available!

Any of you guys ordered a conversion kit yet? (F45 to F55 shocks)

Just curious how straight foward the install is and how you liked the finished results....

Have a hunch this question is a bit pre-mature but I'm sure we will start to hear about results over the following months ahead.

Also, what did you end up paying for it?

Thanks for the input guys....Been tracking this one for awhile.

Regards,
Tony M.

I am changing my F-45 over to Bilsten Sports and coding out the F-45 from my computer. Also upgrading to the Z06 suspension parts.

What is involved in coding out the F45 from the computer? I'm considering doing exactly what you have done.

I do not know the procedure my mechanic and turner know what is required and I will get with them over the weekend. My car is currently in the shop for a complete make over, going FI, forged motor and much more.

Ok,, maybe I am the Ultimate , "cheap Charlie" but at $2G's + for upgrade I will wait until I have worn out the shocks on my F45.

Now lets squeeze that penny . It will be good value when the F45 is in need of replacement, but not before for me.

Besides I might just buy the new F55 on a C6

I would love to find out what the electrical connector changes are, I picked up a set of shocks and a f55 computer on ebay for $300 and I just need to work out the connectors.

Did you install the F55 system in your ride? I have a '99 with F45 looking to upgrade to F55.

I've only got 43000 on my F45 and I can't see that it's worth the cost. Once I need to replace my shocks I'll go with the F55. You should be the first to do it Tony - use it as a write-off on a "test" car.

I haven't found anyone who has done the upgrade from F45 to F55. I have checked several forums and the Offical C5 Registry.

You can disable the F45 system buy going to your tuner or dealer. They will use a GM Tech II to disable it so you can use regular shocks.
