Don't have the answer but I found it was much easier to measure the part, bolt, etc that I was actually using with a thread guage and a dial caliper.You would be in a hell of fix if someone gave you the wrong information.Personally I wouldn't relocate the oil pressure sensor but would make an extension to ease installation.

Oil temp, not pressure. The one located right above the oil filer on the drivers side of the oil pan.
I am using the GM LS1 based truck oil cooler adapter for an oil cooler project. This adapter mounts to where the C5 stock oil temp sensor mounting spot is. I am going to drill and tap threads into the truck adapter so that I can still have the oil temp reading.
Pull it out and measure it, you can change filters without losing any oil except what is in the filter so I would assume you could remove the sensor with no loss of oil. No . I didn't go out and look, its dark out.If I'm wrong it won't be the 1st time, nor will it be the last....
